We had quite a good trip with Kailash Expeditions. Lets break it down as following: Srinagar : It is Tehran Boat House. This house boat is quite good on a good location in Dal Lake. Must say abo...
ut the food quality. It was awesome. Fully home made taste, we all liked that. We reached Srinagar air port around 10:30 AM and as per the schedule Driver Talib was waiting there. This guy is so jovial and fun freak that made the trip really interesting. Srinagar sight seeing was not included in our package. We paid around 1500 to the driver and he arranged the sight seeing for us that covered Mughal Garden/ Pari Mahal/ Chasm-e-sahi and also some more around places. Driver took us to nearby factory outlets where we bought good quality pashmina shawls. We also took some dry fruits from one of the very good shop. Then around evening we came back to houseboat by shikara ride. Srinagar - Kargil: Next day we started our journey to Kargil covering Sonmarg. It is again because of our Driver, we got a very good deal in pony ride in Sonmarg. Then we visited Kargil war memorial and then stayed in Zozila Residency, Kargil overnight. I must say that this a superb hotel to stay in Kargil be it with food/room quality. Kargil - Leh: Next day we left Kargil early and on the way to Leh. We visited lamayuru monastery and some scenic places as well on the way. We visited Magnetic hill and gurudwara pathar sahib as well and stayed overnight in Hotel Nature's Nest in Leh. Most of the roads between Srinagar - Leh (except Zozilla Pass) is in good condition. Stanzin from Kailash Expeditions is very much helpful and met with all our queries. We had planned to go to Pangong Lake from Nubra Valley. But we had to rearrange the trip as the road condition was not good between Pangong and Nubra. Kailash Expeditions was throughout helpful in rearranging the trip at the last moment. Following is the way we plan our trip thereafter. Leh - Pangong : Road condition in most places were pathetic/risky and it takes almost 5-6 hours to reach Pangong from Leh. We stayed in a tent in Pangong which was a lifetime experience. But at night we got bit breathing problem because of high altitude in Pangong (14000 ft). Pangong - Leh : Next day we returned to Leh again from Pangong and visited Thikshey monastery/ Shey Palace/ Rancho School. We did some more sightseeing like Hall of Fame/ Sputik monastery/ Shanti Stupa on that day only. Stayed overnight on same Hotel Nature's Nest in Leh. Leh - Nubra Valley : Next day we went to Nubra valley crossing Khardungla Pass (18310 ft). Nubra valley was awesome. We did double-hump camel ride on white sandunes and stayed in Nature's nest tents. We visited Deskit Monastery on that day. Most part of the roads are fine here compared to what we face in Leh-Pangong. Roads near nubra valley was very picturesque. Nubra Valley - Leh : Next day we returned to Leh and visited Leh palace. We did shopping in Leh Market as well and stayed overnight in same hotel. Next day morning we catch our flight back home. Always carry homeopathic medicine coca-6 which will give you lot of flexibility in higher altitude. Breakfast and Dinner were included for our trip. For Lunch, always carry lots of packed food as you do not get much places to eat during your trip in lunch time. And outside food is not healthy as well because of bad water quality. Overall this is a trip very good managed by Kailash Expeditions. Only regret was none of the cars have oxygen cylinders. Although we had not asked for that as well.

Thanks to Trip Trail and specifically to Aman for being there at all times to guide us , motivate us , provide good service irrespective of the hour of the day . Our decision for the family trip ...
was too last minute and yet Aman and trip trail matched the pace in giving right info to procuring the necessary permits to helping us with the iterinary. We surely had a memorable trip . However if I have to give some recommendations I will request any travel agent to give iterinary options to travellers instaed of a copy paste of a single iterinary. This will give a sense of participation and fulfilment to travellers . Example - Leh Palace and Santhi Stupa was never part of the itinerary but we ended up visiting them after we were in Leh . So if we had options to choose from we would have skipped one or more places from the itinerary and rather visited a place for the second time or a new one . If it is implementable then it will make a difference to travellers . Thanks Rancho School in Leh

Before our departure, they took the time to understand our preferences, interests, and expectations for the trip. This personalized approach ensured that every aspect of our itinerary was tailored to suit our desires, whether it was exploring ancient monasteries, trekking through breathtaking landscapes, or simply immersing ourselves in the local culture. From cozy guesthouses nestled amidst towering mountains to luxurious tents under the vast expanse of the Ladakhi sky, each lodging was carefully selected to offer comfort and tranquility amidst the rugged terrain. Moreover, the hospitality extended by the staff at each location was unparalleled, making us feel welcomed and cherished throughout our stay. Transportation logistics can often be a source of concern when traveling to remote destinations like Ladakh. However, with Amazing Routes, we had nothing to worry about. Our transportation arrangements, including airport transfers and inter-city travel, were seamless and punctual. The vehicles provided were not only comfortable but also well-maintained, ensuring a safe and enjoyable journey through the winding mountain roads. With a deep understanding of Ladakh's history, culture, and geography, our guide enriched our journey with fascinating insights and anecdotes at every turn. Whether it was explaining the intricacies of Buddhist philosophy or sharing stories of local traditions, their passion for the region was palpable, enhancing our appreciation for the land and its people. In addition to their impeccable service, they also excelled in customer care. Throughout our trip, they remained accessible and responsive to our needs, ensuring that any queries or concerns were promptly addressed. The travel experience was really good. The place was amazing. Travel agent kept the permits and things ready. Hotels were really good except for the stay in Tso Moriri it was changed last minute ...
and even the travel agent was not informed about the same. This is why one less star to the travel.agents. it is their duty to check a day prior with the hotels about the booking of their customers.
